The hand punch Siemens & Halske Hds-68 is a set very similar to the Stg-68 tape teleprinter, which is only equipped with a tape punch, the punched tape transmitter is not built in.
With the operating mode switch, the teleprinter can be operated as a tape punch (position Lochst Perf, without message transmission) or as a teleprinter (position Stg).
The Hds-68 manual punch can also be used as a tape teleprinter; self-adhesive tapes are printed and stuck onto the telegram form.
